HMRLY: dystopian darkwave FROM SWITZERLAND

HMRLY blends post-punk, darkwave, EBM and distorted guitars into a sound for a present that already feels like the future: powerful, hypnotic and danceable.

For 30 years, HMRLY has been part of the Swiss music scene. As guitarist and songwriter for The Fuckadies and The Monofones, he has played countless shows across Switzerland and throughout Europe – from small clubs to major festivals. Shaped by punk, underground culture and the DIY ethos, he stands for an uncompromising attitude and a commanding live presence.

With his solo project, HMRLY opens a new chapter. Repetitive machine beats collide with pulsating bass sequences, angular guitars and associative vocals. The songs thrive on rhythm, tension and momentum: stripped-down, dark and visceral. They tell stories from a not-too-distant future – of a world disturbingly similar to our own.

On October 30, 2026, the debut album “2026 VOL. 1” will be released (also available on vinyl). Every instrument and all vocals were recorded by HMRLY himself. The result is an uncompromising album. Music for dark clubs, late-night trips and imaginary journeys.

Live, the tracks reveal their full force: heavy beats, cinematic textures, flickering lights. No standing still, no safe distance – just a focused, propulsive concert experience.
